Târgu Mureș a devenit, din nou, un veritabil simbol al muzicii populare românești, odată cu desfășurarea Festivalului Național–Concurs „Petre Săbădeanu”, ediție aniversară cu numărul 10, care a umplut până la refuz sala Ansamblului Profesionist „Mureșul”. Tineri interpreți din întreaga țară s-au adunat sub steagul cântecului popular românesc, transformând competiția într-o sărbătoare autentică.
După preselecția organizată la Centrul pentru Cultură Tradițională din Târgu Mureș, 15 concurenți au rămas în concurs, aducând pe scenă nu doar vocile lor, ci și frumusețea costumelor populare reprezentând regiunile lor de origine. Acompaniamentul muzical a fost oferit cu mult profesionalism de Orchestra Ansamblului „Rapsodia Călimanilor”, sub conducerea maestrului Loránt Bodor.
Gala festivalului a adus în lumina reflectoarelor invitați de seamă precum Ciprian Istrate, Ioan Dordoi și alți artiști îndrăgiți, care au oferit interpretări memorabile și emoționante.
Marele Premiu – O stea tânără a folclorului
Patricia Moldovan
Marele Premiu al festivalului „Petre Săbădeanu” – Târgu Mureș, 2025 a fost câștigat de talentata interpretă Patricia Moldovan din Baia Mare. Pe lângă trofeu și premiile organizatorilor, Patricia va reprezenta România la prestigioasa manifestare internațională Caravana IGF „José Antonio Viñas” din 2027, un pas uriaș în cariera sa.
Recunoștință pentru Nelu Șopterean și pentru comunitatea Mureșeană
Ediția aniversară a fost și un prilej de recunoștință pentru distinsul artist mureșean Nelu Șopterean, organizatorul și sufletul festivalului, care a inițiat primele ediții și continuă să sprijine cultura tradițională. Comuna Sântana de Mureș, locul natal al marelui Petre Săbădeanu, a fost reprezentată cu mândrie de primarul Dumitru Moldovan, de consilierii locali și de numeroși consăteni care au participat activ la eveniment.
Organizare de excepție
Calitatea ridicată a concurenților, energia tinerei generații de dansatori, interpretările invitaților și prezența emoționantă a publicului au contribuit la crearea unei atmosfere de sărbătoare autentică. Realizatoarea TVR Gheorghița Nicolae, vicepreședintă a Asociației Naționale de Folclor din România, a fost una dintre personalitățile care au subliniat importanța și frumusețea manifestării.
Evenimentul a fost organizat impecabil de Centrul Creației Populare Mureș, sub conducerea managerului Iulian Praja, actor și promotor al tradițiilor folclorice. Implicarea echipei organizatorice a făcut din această ediție un reper cultural de excepție.
Un festival de nota zece
Ediția a X-a a Festivalului „Petre Sabădeanu” va rămâne în amintirea tuturor ca o celebrare a valorilor autentice, o demonstrație că tradiția trăiește prin oamenii care o iubesc și o transmit mai departe.

10th Edition – A Celebration of Authentic Folklore in Târgu Mureș**
Târgu Mureș once again became a true symbol of Romanian traditional music with the 10th anniversary edition of the National Festival–Contest “Petre Sabădeanu”, an event that filled to capacity the hall of the Professional Ensemble “Mureșul”. Young folk singers from all over the country gathered under the banner of Romanian traditional music, transforming the competition into a genuine celebration of authenticity.
Following the preselection held at the Center for Traditional Culture in Târgu Mureș, 15 contestants remained in the competition, bringing to the stage not only their voices, but also the beauty of folk costumes from their home regions. The musical accompaniment was provided with great professionalism by the “Rapsodia Călimanilor” Ensemble Orchestra from Toplița, conducted by maestro Loránt Bodor.
The Festival Gala brought to the spotlight renowned invited artists such as Ciprian Istrate, Ioan Dordoi, and others who offered memorable and emotional performances.
The Grand Prize – A new rising star in Romanian folklore
The Grand Prize of the “Petre Sabădeanu” Festival – Târgu Mureș, 2025 was awarded to the talented young singer Patricia Moldovan from Baia Mare. In addition to the trophy and the organizers’ awards, Patricia will represent Romania at the prestigious international event IGF Caravan “José Antonio Viñas” in 2027, marking an important milestone in her artistic career.
Recognition for Nelu Șopterean and the Mureș cultural community
This anniversary edition was also an opportunity to express deep appreciation for the distinguished Mureș artist Nelu Șopterean, the initiator and spirit behind the early editions of the festival, who continues to support traditional culture. The commune of Sîntana de Mureș, the birthplace of the great folk singer Petre Sabădeanu, was represented by its proud mayor Dumitru Moldovan, local council members, and many locals who attended and supported the event.
Exceptional organization
The high artistic level of the contestants, the energy of the young dancers, the performances of the invited artists, and the enthusiasm of the audience all contributed to an atmosphere of true celebration. TVR producer Gheorghița Nicolae, vice-president of the National Folklore Association of Romania, emphasized the significance and beauty of the event.
The festival was impeccably organized by the Mureș County Center for Popular Creation, under the leadership of manager Iulian Praja, actor and dedicated promoter of Mureș traditions. The work and commitment of the organizing team turned this edition into a cultural landmark of exceptional quality.
A festival worthy of a perfect score
The 10th edition of the “Petre Sabădeanu” Festival will remain in the memory of all participants as a celebration of authentic values, and a powerful reminder that tradition lives on through the people who cherish and pass it forwart.
